Hodgdon Closing Goex Plant In Minden, LA

Hodgdon appears to be closing the Goex Black Powder plant in Minden, LA.

I don't know if this is the only Goex plant but they seem to be open to selling off the Goex brand reguardless. Anyone else know more?

I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not but dang. Thats a lot of explosions.

I am hopeful that another great American company will pick up the brand. Goex has been around a long time and there is still a big market for black powder here.

Heck, I have been trying to get some GOEX locally for quite some time. Didn't know they were up in Minden.

From what Ive been told you expect explosions periodically when making black powder. The production process is designed to accommodate for them as best as is possible.
