    "Oh, wonderful."

I thought we were rid of this fleabag. I was wrong.

    Just my 2 cents!!LOL
Why not try to have someone catch'm w/trap, trank dart, or dogs!
If there that protected that much there's bound to be a resource to remove for there own safty! if you hunt the land w/dogs, a pack could tree him!
I dont know if non-lethal-form could be used from that point for removal and/or where they would be placed, but there somebody who does, that a fact!

    Just some thoughts!

someone in another tread had said grease on the legs for coons & does not interfear w/the deer!
as coons do I think bear do as well!! They lick there paws after getting it on them!!
"like pepper on a car for cats"
but this will not fully rid your place of him granted, but will protect your feeder from coons if that might be an issue or has ever been an issue!
    just another thought!

I'm not sure, but I believe this might be a different one from the one in September. This one looks a little smaller.

It is kind of neat knowing that they've been successful in the reintroduction of them down here- just as long as they "behave themselves". I sure don't want my camp to become a "bear lounge" while we aren't there (or while we are-).

He/she/they really haven't been that big of a problem, only making occasional visits. I don't believe there are dangerous, but I really don't want them getting used to people, either. That isn't smart from any angle.

Still, seeing the occasional, well-behaved bear is kind of cool. For now....:hs:

we've got them too where I hunt (Catahoula Parish), I haven't seen any sign of them yet this year, but we caught a momma bear and cub on camera last season and fund their tracks at different places throughout deer season.

I've been told the best way to keep them away from your feeders is to switch to soy beans, the deer still love it but bears don't care for it.

Yeah bears won't eat rice bran either, but then you have to worry about mold during some of the wetter months.
And do NOT attempt to trap it yourself, that is a federal offense.

Plenty of bears in St. Mary parish. Used to see them all the time in pipeline right-of-ways when I used to fly them. In fact, the LWFC told me several years ago that they had counted close to one hundred just on/near Weeks Island.
