I've heard good things about Lt. Washington's course, but I am interested to hear what you guys think/know about the class. Thanks again.

Found out about it a few weeks ago. I've got to call tomorrow to get the exact details, but yep Lt. Frank Washington does teach it. Fingerprint, photo, and notary at no extra cost of class. Last I heard, class was $60.

Is that for the Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit? He's not on the LSP website for instuctors in the BR area.

Yep LA Concealed Handgun Permit. I know he's one of the Range officers.

I'll get more information tomorrow when I call to get the info. I sent Lt. Washington an e-mail, and got a response with a number to call and specific person to talk to.

I know who he is but he's not on the approved LSP list for instructors.

I'm looking at it now. Maybe he no longer teaches the class, but there are 4 EBRSO Deputies on the list, and I do know for a fact that EBRSO is hosting a class on May 3, like I said, will provide more details tomorrow.

I'm going to shoot Dawg an email, but I don't want to put the guy out for just measly ole me.

Ok thanks I've just never heard of the SO teaching the class to the public. I've heard a few years ago that the BRPD did.

Dave is a good guy, but if Lt. Washington has anything to do with the class I'd jump all over it.

I was under the impression that he did teach from what I was told, but from info posted above that seems to be incorrect.

Don't give an inordinate amount of credence to anyone who praises a class (mine or anyone else's) who has never taken any additional classes. Frame of Reference is an important concept.

Decided to take Dawg's class. Anybody have any ideas for an inexpensive notary service? I figured LSP for prints, and Walgreens for photo..unless ya'll have better ideas?
