WTB: Winchester 94

I am looking for a top-ejecting, no safety, lever-action Winchester 94 in .30-30 for a truck gun.

You'll have better luck gettin' a Marlin. Seems everybody thinks their Win 94 is made of gold nowadays seeing as how they aren't made anymore. And there's a reason they aren't made anymore.

I shoot left-handed and prefer the top ejecting Winchester over the in-my-face ejecting Marlin.

But I agree. In general, people think their Winchester rifles are somehow worth more now.

I'll keep my eye peeled for a '94. Bro-in-law has a pawn shop and I gets the "special" pricing. 10-4 on shooting the wrong way. lol

I'm right handed and left eyed... (Shoot rifles left)

I have both and notice no problem shooting ether...?

How bad is it for you?

(They ARE worth more... IF someone is willing to pay it, due to supply being fixed)

I just prefer the Winchester over the Marlin

True...but the supply is 'fixed' at several million in circulation. No more Mosin Nagants are being manufactured but the price remains low because there as just so damn many of them

Thanks but I'm looking for a beater to use as a truck gun. That posting is for a pre-64....let the collectors have it.

Looked at a 94 in a paunshop just now cause of this thread.

Good looking 94, nothing special... guy wanted $599 for it! :crazy:

Ya know, an AK has about the same balistics as a 30-30. You could build one at one of the build parties for cheaper than you could buy that lever beater (probably). Ammo is much cheaper too.

Just a thought....

I saw one on the rack today at BJ Pawn and Gun in Denham Springs today, but didn't look at the price.

I called and he claims it is a pre-64 and wants $400 for it.

I just got off the phone with Mike over at Pelican Pawn in Denham Springs and he said that he just put out a Ted Williams 30-30, which is a Winchester that was sold by Sears. He has it for $249.95.
Pelican is just down the road from BJ's and they are better to deal with, just don't stock that many guns.
Give him a call at 225-664-6072, just tell him that Lee said to call.
