    Turns out that copy machines have hard drives that store all the stuff that has ever been put through them. makes you think.

    It's just like a junked computer I got that had over 1800 credit card numbers, SSN's, and personal info in it still. Basically every business transaction over a 5 year period.

    In my line of work I gotta both be able to recover lost data...and destroy it beyond retrieval with minimal expense.

    Not all copy machines have hdd, just the newer ones.. but it IS good policy not to throw them out with the trash
