the cement job was done well below the mud line. prolly at least another 5k down hole

There should be cement all the way to surface on the outside of the casing.

Can anyone explain what we're seeing now? It seems like the oil is gushing much more violently now than when I watched it earlier this afternoon...

    looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time

it was said recently that even after what BP had already gotten out of the well + the spill only amounted to about 1/100th of the well's capacity.

It started coming out more violently when they started the top kill earlier today.

The top kill probably just irritated an existing condition. Wouldn't be surprised if the force of the piping coming down didn't do a number on what's underground.

Yea, agreed. A lot of risks involved. I just hope this works somehow that way attention can be put on salvaging the shores.

this is a screen grab of the current video. Not the same video that's been shown the past couple of days. This looks like a leak from the floor of the Gulf instead of the end of a pipe:

what we could be seeing is the the mud and cement accumulating near around the end of the riser causing it to appear as if we have multiple leaks

From what my boss informed me of this morning, you can see the mud now coming out of the well.
