Went fishing today on Bayou Amy, I put in at the boat ramp just north of 10 and headed north. When I was coming up on the islands (about 2 miles north of the boat ramp) I saw a white car parked on the bank, figured it was someone tight lining. Well I was on the far side of bayou and as I got closer I heard what sounded like a porno so I peeked around the island and a couple were screwing on the trunk of the car. They didn't see me (in a kayak so no noise) and I kept going, about 30-45 mins later I was coming back down headed in and they were facing the water and saw me and promptly hauled ass. I got a good laugh. Think I need to find a water proof camera with a telephoto lens.

That trumps my strange fishing stories. I can tell you a funny catch someone screwing around story. I was on a blood mobile donating blood in a Walmart parking lot when I look over to the right and see this lady making out with this guy in the car next to me. I think nothing off it a few minutes go by the next thing you no this chick is going down on this guy. So I ask the phlebotomist to come over and tell me what she thought they where doing. She responded with that lady is giving that guy a BJ pretty loudly. Next thing you know I am laying on my back filling up this blood bag and I got like nine people hovering over me watching this lady. That is my public sex act story.

So did you catch anything besides a couple screwing?

What kind of kayak do you use? I am really interested in getting into kayak fishing? Any suggested reading material?

Rofl no pics, I've been thinking of buying a waterproof camera for the wildlife, never thought this would happen.

I've got a Hobie Outback, you should check out http://www.bckfc.org/ they're mostly over in you're area, and find a local shop that will let you demo them.

Other than a couple of small bream and a carp I didn't catch anything.

I just miss the days of screwing on the back (or front) of cars and trucks. I once had a mitsubishi truck with a toneau cover that was the perfect height..............

    Mine's lame but...
I was canoeing on Magee's Creek (connects to the Bogue Chitto near Tylertown). A very large hawk flew over our heads carrying a still moving snake in his claws. I've wished for a waterproof camera w/ a telephoto lens more than once...
Sorry, no naked chicks. If you want I can edit the post and add some though...

My uncle said he was driving his tractor back form hauling hay down a gravel back road here in Indian Bayou and had to stop and go around a truck in the middle of the road and there was an interracial couple going doggy style outside the open door, they never stopped are looked up, never cared. He's alot older then alot of us, so his unpolitically correct version is alot funnier...

We were about 40 miles offshore in the late 1950's, tied to a rig, mid-day, and we saw a parachute come down in the Gulf about half a mile away from us. We watched it with good binoculars and promptly ran our boat over to where it had come down, but couldn't find anything. We checked for missing aircraft, etc, but never found out where it had come from.

The strangest thing I saw was the look on smith625's face while I was pulling up sacalait, one after the other, using tin foil as bait after we ran out of shiners.

My best one is scooping up a 25 lb. catfish in a net while it was choking on a very large bream in the middle of the bayou in Laffite. They were both very tasty.

2 Good ones.....lived in Key Largo for about five years and fished ALOT, Dolphin, Wahoo, and Tuna eat the baitfish that gather under floating debris there(here to but not like there) so while fishing you are always on the lookout for something in the water. We spotted something in the distance and ran to troll around it, when we got there, it was four Cubans on a raft made out of big inner tubes and plywood. We called the Coast Guard they said to give them food and water but not to allow them on our boat.(no **** sherlock) We gave them a six pack of bud and a bag of fritos, then proceeded to troll around them and pick up 4 nice dolphin, we stayed in the vicinity till they coasties got there then moved on.
The strangest thing we ever came upon was a tree, I know not very strange at fist thought, but this tree was 60 miles offshore and sticking 50-75 ft out of the water! We saw it from a long way off and had no idea what it was till we got closer, then ..........man what a tree. The trunk was maybe 6-9 feet around and there was a huge root structure intact maybe 100-125 ft below the surface and son you have never seen so many Dolphin, and Wahoo in your life! We caught all the fish we wanted called several friends on the radio and left em biting after a few hours. I told a couple friends that were Rangers about it and they said that along the east coast of South America it was common to have huge mud slides that dump big ass trees like that in the water and that they git up in the loop current and make there way around to the Keys.

Those where great stories. The cubans with the fritos and beer had me rolling. I can only imagine. Did they just chill and drink the bear while you caught fish?

In 2003, about 1 mile off the Boca Chica Beach and about 2 miles north of the Mexican border, fishing out of South Padre Island, TX we saw this big long thing sticking out of the water by 6', waving around. Thinking it was someone overboard waving a paddle, we headed that way.
Arriving, we found a big whale shark, longer than our 26' boat, cruising along just below the surface.
By the time that I realized what t was, I thought that we would collide. I hit neutral and raised both engines, just in time for it to pass beneath midships. the long dorsal tail fin just gracefully descended, barely missing the side of our boat, and the big shark cruised on. We watched it a while, then went back to looking for bait.
