    All,

Just opened a 100 pack of Federal .223 from Walmart to load into some mags for a range trip tomorrow.

Well, I loaded one mag and was on the second when I noticed that a round or two has very small dents in it. Well, i started looking at the rounds not loaded and about 50% of them have very small dents in the shoulder of the case and along the long edge.

Is this ammo safe to use? I'd hate to chunk 100 rounds because I cannot return them to Walmart, but then again I do not wann blow up my Colt. Opinions?

Side note, I heard the employee telling some guy at the Slidell Wal-Mart on Natchez earlier this week that new company policy is 3 boxes, and this while their case was stacked fuller than it has been for the last two years. Those fothermuckers need to get off of that trip and make my money by selling me what I want in whatever amount I want as long as it's there.

Still haven't had time to pester the senior manager about this, as it's only their store with the stupid rule. Apparently, the rest of our region has been released to sell however much they want.

It was 6 boxes when the case was almost empty. Now that it's full and the limit has been released, it's 3?

I was there with a friend the other day as they were restocking, and they have cases upon cases. I've been twice per day, three days in a row, and the stuff I bought was filled back up no more than a day after I'd drained it down some.

They're also making around a penny on the dollar-- you would think they'd want to sell as much as possible, now that their supply isn't so difficult to fill back up again. But hey, that just makes sense. I'll bet if you could get in touch with a real corporate bigwig for Walmart, you could get one of these half-tard managers in serious trouble. After all, they're the very best and milking the tiny percentages-- this totally goes against their business theory.

Academy Sports won't sell by the case, either. So I love to walk in when it's really busy at the firearms cases and ask, "Ooh, how much of that ya'll have? I'll take several cases." And then look all surprised that they won't just go in the back and load me up.
