    Police Chief Tickets Himself
    By Jon Lewis @ June 8, 2010 5:41 AM

(WSB Radio) He's the last person you'd expect to find parked in a handicapped space: the police chief!

Conyers, Ga. Chief Gene Wilson insists he didn't see he was in the clearly-marked space, when he breezed into Chick-Fil-A for a biscuit. Only noticed on the way out, he says.

Some Conyers residents tell Channel 2 Action News they're dubious that's even possible, but they praise the chief for what he did next.

Wilson promptly went back to the station and had a Captain write him a $288 ticket! He also wrote an apology to the local paper.

Great guy by the sounds of it.

But that brings up a good point. There are some handicapped spots that are just down right questionable.

White lines, blue sign. (Okay this one isn't necessarily questionable)
    Blue lines, no sign.
Faded blue handicapped symbol, white lines, no sign.
Faded blue handicapped symbol, white lines, sign. (neither is this one, sign trumps all)

I treat all of them as handicapped and don't park in them just to be on the safe side but some of them look like they used to be, and aren't now but they could be.
