I have finally decided to make the leap to class 3. I want to try s suppressor for my 308 rifles. I would be using it for m rem 700 and m1asocom.

I've been looming at yhm. Are they decent?

    Any other suggestions? Or advice?

The Socom is going to throw a wrench in the mix due to the flash hider and location of those threads. As far as the bolt gun any .30 cal can should screw on to the standard 5/8-24 threads which is what most 30 cal cans are. Do you want a screw on or a QD can and how much are you looking to spend that is going to narrow down the options.

Also do some research on Shark Suppressors, the new Gemtech Sandstorm and Surefire.

    Ragincajun,

Go to silencerreasearch.com, pay for a membership and get unbiased answers regarding sound reduction. Don't listen to anything said on silencertalk.com because the site is ran by AAC fanboys.

Don't get me wrong, there are some good guys and some good information on there, but the minute you ask who makes the best can, the AAC fanboys go nuts.

If you mention Gemtech, they are ready to kill you.

I have a 762SD and it works good on .308 and .223, both semi-autos. Working on a single shot .308 at the time and then a bolt gun. Same can four guns. Got it before I found silencertalk.;) I will say listen to one before you buy if possible. That's what sold me on the AAC can.

    Good Luck
