    Dear All,
I was referred here by someone from the Watchgeeks.net forum. I love watches and have recently been getting into shooting. My father gave me a 22lr semi-auto handgun and a 22lr rifle and while I used to go shooting in the desert in West Texas when I was young I had not picked up a gun in a while. And, since I have an addictive personality I have jumped into this at full speed.

Unfortunately, I have more wants than money so I have been going to the range and shooting my 22's and actually that is fine with me. While I think it would be great to fire a big cannon of a gun I am content with having a 2" spread on my computer printed 8" x 10" targets.

I asked someone on the watch forum what would be a good gun forum and was referred here so hopefully, I can have some fun here. If anybody is looking for a good watch forum I would recommend Watchgeeks.net. There are some good people there.

So, my current interest/obsession is the new batch of AR style 22's. The two of biggest interest are the Sig 522 and the S & W M & P 15-22. I am currently trying to sell some watches in order to raise the money to get one. So, if anybody out there would love to score several nice watches in trade of one of the above rifles let me know. I would be more than glad to drive to you to pick it up. Anyway, I have been surfing the internet trying to read everything I can about Sig's, S & W, Colt's, and even converting a Ruger 10-22 with the Archangel kit. What I want and need is a reliable gun that is perfectly happy with bulk ammo from Walmart.

Anyway, it is good to be here and I hope to learn a lot from the people here and hopefully contribute some things myself. Glad to be on a Louisiana forum.

    Dear All,
I was referred here by someone from the Watchgeeks.net forum.

Talk about your seven degrees of separation. I'm a budding watch geek. By budding, I'm mean I spend most of my cash on guns and lust after watches. I dipped my toe in with an Oris, though. I find a lot of watch guys are guns guys. I guess it's the metal-mechanical lure.

    Welcome.

Welcome from Algiers! I think Tulse Luper is on to something with the connection between watches and guns - the best grandfather clock repair guy I ever knew was also a right fair skeet shooter.

Welcome to the forum. I am a Ruger guy through and through so I have a Charger. I feel in love with the MP15-22 when it came out and bought one of those too. It has performed flawless through 1000+ rounds.
