I've decoded 100% now going to go sbr ar15. I am mainly going to use this lower for my belt fed 22 which I plan to cut the barrel down on. I am having difficulty decidin what barrel length to go with. I l also get a 223 upper for it eventually so that should be effective to. So like...10" or 7" 11??

Is that a concern for shooting no further than 100 yards? I'm no into match shooting with this. Only paper punching

I have a 10.5" SBR that is reliable and can hit the 380 yard gongs at the range all day with the Eotech.
If I were to do it again I think I would the the Colt Commando 11.5" barrel.

    Best of luck and enjoy!

I also would not go below 10.5". Velocity and reliability will go down, muzzle blast will go up. I have a 10.5" M16, and it's not much fun shooting without the suppressor due to muzzle blast. You may consider 12.5".

so far as possibly just buying that upper assembly

but 10.5 might be good as well..
