    Hi my name is Diane and I am from the Baton Rouge area. I saw someone talking about your site on another forum so I thought I would check it out. I am new at shooting and the whole gun ownership. However, I am hooked after getting my first gun. My fiance bought me a Sig Sauer P225 9mm. I LOVE it!! He actually bought me my gun just before my engagement ring so I guess technically my gun was my originally engagement "gift" from him lol. I have made a list of guns that I now want to own. I am looking at next getting the Taurus Millenium PT-145 .45acp. I love shooting a .45 caliber gun. I am however, a little torn between the Taurus and the Springfield XD .45 caliber.

    So anyway, that is a little about me. Please feel free to ask anything you would like to know!

    Welcome. The Springfield will hold it's value much better. Taurus has had issues with their auto loaders in the past. I don't mind a Taurus Revolver, but I'm not ready to buy an auto from them.

    Thanks for all the welcomes. Deafdave3, my fiance is not on the site yet. I am sure I will get him on here eventually lol.

    I actually do want the Springfield XDm .45 cal. I am pretty sure that will be what I get next.

    Welcome. These folks are top notch. I've learned a bit and found out that I want "recoil" therapy far more often than I ever really intended. This is a community of folks at all levels of gun ownership and they are all respected here.
