The Centennial 66 has a 24 carat gold plated receiver & forend cap, brass rifle curved buttplate, saddle ring, heavy octagon 20 inch barrel with a full length magazine, select walnut straight hand stock and the barrel is marked “A Century of Leadership 1866-1966”.

The point to all of the gold and brass was to make the 1966 Centennial reminiscent of the brass framed Winchester 1866 Yellow Boy rifle that was Winchester's first product.

    Rifle: Winchester Centennial 66 Carbine / Caliber: 30-30 Winchester / Manufactured in: 1966 / Magazine capacity: 6 cartridges + 1 in chamber / Barrel: 20 inch octagon / Twist: 1 in 12 inches / Sights: Adjustable semi-buckhorn rear and blade front / Length of pull: 13 1/8 inches / Drop at comp: 2 inches / Drop at heel: 2 3/4 inches / Overall length: 38 1/2 inches / Weight: 7 pounds.

Wood is in very good condition and the overall condition is good. Gun has been sitting in gun case for years and was fired very few times. $525 Firm.

I believe it's actually a copy of the Winchester 1866 Yellowboy built in 1966 hence the Centennial moniker. The Winchester 1866 was a improved Henry design with the side feed magazine and a wood handguard. A little over 102,000 of these were made in 1966 and they are fine weapons. I'm pretty sure the 1894 model is a different design basically John Brownings greatly improved version of the original lever actions.

    EDIT* Nevermind*

Its a 94. Not a copy of the 1866. Just 100 year Centennial Commemorative.

Very pretty rifle you have there.

Edit.....I see you said never mind. I guess that you realized it wasn't a copy. ;)
