My buddy came across a St. Etienne Berthier MLE 16 and wants to know if it is shootable and what it'd take to get it there. He says it looks like it could use some TLC. I was wondering of you guys knew any smiths or C&R experts in the Baton Rouge area that would look at it. Any help is appreciated.

The MLE 16 is a variante of the MLE 1890 Berthier and chambered for 8mm Lebel. It is not a common round.
