    I just recently got some Ballistol from Amazon.com and it works great though the price with shipping is rediculous for a 6oz can. Does anyone in Baton Rouge carry it besides Precision? (They're quite a ways from where I'm at)
    I found out yesterday that Precision doesn't carry it anymore. I picked up a couple of cans yesterday at Hebert Guns on Airline.

    I recommend spot testing it before applying it wholesale. I've used it for years on all of my guns with no ill effects until I tried it on my SCAR. It's like it stripped off some kind of protective coating on the aluminum that came from the factory. It went from a deep black to a spotty gray. I had to soak it in oil to bring back the finish.
