I have yet to see a mount for a variable that is QD and under about 7oz, that is where the rest of the weight comes from. Still, you say it's not noticeable. Now I just need to find the right variable.

That is true, I failed to add in the mount.

    8.4oz.

Take a look at NF, their the smallest and very lite, toughest scope out there!
The only draw back is the illuminated reticle is not daylight visible (it's never bothered me) for cqb there FC-2 ret is bad ass, not so hot on 600 yard targets, I've never shot it at a man size targets at that distance, only small ipsc targets so it might not be that bad! They are coming out with a bdc to 6 in a few months, I can get you pics if you want to check it out

I like the NF offerings, but day-light visible is a deal-breaker. So far I am playing with the idea of replacing my M4S with something. I would like to make a "lateral" move in quality, so Burris, etc. are kindof out, as I don't consider them the equal of what I have now. I am considering the Mark 6 from Leupold, Z6i, and the S&B Shortdot currently, as they are all daylight visible, and proven to be quality, reliable optics. It's just something I am mulling over right now, though.

I have a burris xts-135, but i need to upgrade when i sell some stuff. Its been pretty solid though for about 2 years.

I guess Ill edit this since everyone is replying.

The Burris still lives, but not on a gun. It lives in the closet.

Oh, and I only have 1 ar now. It wears a Bushnell 1-6.5x, pretty awesome scope for the .money.

Depends on the rifles, but my sbr's run red dots for the most part, 2 t2's a h2, and 3 mro's. I have a 12 inch sbr that sports a 1-4x vortex viper pst. 1-4x trijicon tr24 on my 18 inch rifle, 6-24x50ffp vortex pst on my 20 inch 308, and my 16 inch rifles get larger aimpoints like the pro and m4

Right now I'm trying out a Burris TAC-30 1-4x. I shot some with it yesterday and was very impressed. I gained magnification and lost nothing while shooting close.

I have been running an Aimpoint PRO but just ordered a Burris Mtac 1-4. I didn't want to give up the 1X for close range but my 73 year old eyes need a little help beyond 100 yds.

Vortex Razor HD GenII 1-6 on a Noveske 5.56
S&B 5-25x56 H59 reticle on a Seekins 6.5 Creedmoor. Great for fast hold overs. I've shot it to 1000 on a few occasions without trouble. Won a PRS Gas Gun match with it.
