    anyone know where i can find a decently priced 18" barrel?

    also, does anyone know if adding an extended tube is as big of a pain in the ass on the 1187 as it is some of the 870s?

    I dont have access to my 1100, or an 11-87 at the moment, but IIRC, the magazine tube is pretty much the same as the 870's , and the same extension should work.

    Don't know of a place to get a barrel offhand, but I'll look around.

    The mag tube doesn't have the dimples, atleast not on my 1100.

    Short barrels for automatics are hard as **** to find. You will have to buy a full length and chop it.

    I've heard of people just "hammering" them out with a socket. Put socket in, tap a few times, wiggle, tap a few times - until the dimples bulge back out.

    No such thing as an 18" barrel for sell to the public for the Rems.

    You will have to saw it off...

    My recomendation would be to but a 21" slug barrel.

    that is what I have on the 870 and it has the extended magazine and saddle for extras.
