    "Model of 1989"

Some of you might remember that I posted a couple of times that I would be interested in buying one of these :) I had no luck here but through some outside sources I found not 1 but 2 of them. So, being the logical person that I am I bought both of them. I'm a collector not a hoarder so I would rather sell or trade one of them for one of the other revolvers on my "want" list.

Any one who has ever cracked the pages of the SCSW knows that for some reason S&W decided to start the production run of 625s with the dash 2. There are no dash 1s or no dashes. And most S&W aficionados consider the fit and function of the -4 to be the best of them all. This gun is an excellent example of that. Lock up is tight, carry up is perfect and it's a lot more accurate than I am. There are a couple of little scuff marks on the left side plate but they can be polished out with some oil and a scotchbrite pad. Or get rid of the "satin" look completely and polish it to a high gloss.

$850. Gun with 5 moon clips only, no box or papers. FTF in the Houma area or will trade for one of the guns listed in my sig.

if interested e-mail wnbo#bellsouth.net as I don't always check the forum for days.

Pretty gun. It's put a bug in my ear about trading my Marlin 1894C for it. Jest not quite sure I'm ready to part with the rifle. :)

Do you have special financing? Do I have to see the special man? Honestly, I've been wanting this since you first posted it.....just don't have the stroke for it now.

I know what you mean. Seems like the taxman took everybody's spare change. That's ok though. I'm in no hurry to see it leave. It's a great shooter and a good looker. I have fun with it every time I take it to the range.
