Wife and I took our training on 11/18/17 and I submitted our stuff that night online.

11/27/17 She got her approval email
11/27/17 I got pending review email

11/29/17 I got my approval email
12/2/17 I received my permit

I assume hers is coming in the mail tomorrow.

Ours took a little longer due to being over the Thanksgiving holiday. Plus I am a vet so I had to submit my DD-214.

Thanks to you guys for telling me about the free CCW permit. I was going to let mine drop until you told me about it.

Looks like they would have our DD-214 in our file. Been sending one in for about 20 years

I never sent one in before.

I lost my original and had to get a new one from the Department of the Navy several years ago.

Anyone know how long the mail in apps are taking recently? Mailed everything in the Monday before Thanksgiving so it's been bout a month now.

Good luck with that. Last time I heard they just drop them in a stack. That's if they don't reject the prints.

Well I submitted my renewal tonight 12/29/2017 online now I have to wait and see.

Got the PENDING REVIEW email 1/3/2018
And the APPROVED email 1/5/2018 saying. You may not carry a concealed weapon until you receive your permit. You will receive your permit in the U.S. Postal Service mail within 10-15 business days.

My Renewal Time Via Online App

1/15 Submitted App(State Holiday) Received Email saying Recieved.
1/16-1/18 State Offices Closed Maybe because of Ice
1/19 Received Payment Link Email
1/20 Received Approval Email
1/25 Received Permit in Mail

This is by far the fastest I have ever received my permit. My initial took 4 month, my first renewal 1 month these were all paper apps pre online app process.

Student in my last class received his renewal 9 days after completing on line process.

Finished the class on Thursday, went online and completed the forms and submitted required docs. Within two hours got a received and pending notice. Went to LSP HQ Friday morning and did fingerprints. Monday morning got approved, permit is int the mail email. Thursday got permit in mail. 6 days start to finish.

Filled out the application on February 11. Drove to state trooper’s headquarters in Baton Rouge on February 12 to get fingerprinted. That Friday, license was in the mail. Took a total of five days.

I submitted my application online for first time permit on Feb 26. Put fingerprints in the mail the next day (couldn't make time for a trip down to to BR). I'm still waiting.

Moral of the story, if you can go do fingerprints in BR it's obviously faster.
