Shoot-to-Kill Weapon?

The .40 cal Glock Granny used is called a "shoot-to-kill weapon".

Just wondering, are there any guns out there that wouldn't fit that description?

I don't consider a 40 a "shoot to kill weapon".IMHO. A shoot to kill
weapon would be a 10mm,,45,,357mag,,44mag,,41mag,,500SW
and that's it,with regular ammo.Now when you get into HST and
so on,it gets better for lower calibers.

And I'm speaking of a 1 shot,1 kill situation.IMHO those would be
the only calibers I would trust to do the job

And I don't guess anyone watched that video last night on Americas
wildest police videos? They showed that guy that robbed the hotel
clerk and the nervous shaky handed LEO that tried to shoot him in
the back.We had a big discussion over that one on this forum about
2 months ago.Now watching the video again.I feel I was even more
right in saying the LEO sucked at a real shooting lol.I did not get to
see it really clearly till last night.And now more than ever ,I believe
he should have made a 1 head shot case out of that one.The BG
proceeded to shoot 2-4 rounds after he was shot in the back.They
are just lucky he was a bad shot as well ...

Wow...this is crazy, because my wife and I were talking about this type of situation last night, since it is very likely that my stepmother will be watching our daughter next fall when I'm back in school and the wife is working...she has a S&W .38 revolver, and I'm not too fond of her having it around my child.

shoot to kill weapon should be 105MM minimal. Pretty sure any contact with that round will be a show stopper.. Anything else gives to much to chance.

so does "not getting sucked in" = won't explain or can't back it up? I am sincerely curious what makes you think that no other single round will kill a man. and as far as facts against your quote; I could kill you with anything from a BB gun, .22, 9mm, 10mm, and so on but to me, that goes without saying. shot placement is what kills unless you're talking about artillery. that's why I said your statement (not you personally) was ignorant. you probably know about a lot of other things besides ballistic wounding vs killing.
