    Going pick up my upper on Sunday and figured I'd make a day out there with the girlfriend. We planned on going to the state capitol but not sure what else there is to do out there that's cheap/free :D

    What do you guys suggest?

    The Old State Capitol has a fairly interesting exhibit on Huey P. Long, among other things....Also, the old arsenal by the "new" State Capitol is interesting...

    Both are also within walking distance of cold beer & pretty good food downtown.

    There's always the generic "go see Mike the Tiger" on LSU's campus. The campus is really pretty right now, mostly because it's going through the summer lull.
