Where are you planning on kayaking? Not much rocker to it. You're planning on using it on flat open water, right? Swamps and bayous? I wouldn't take that one on the okatoma...

check with Compass Rose in Covington. They are going out of business. Kayaks are 30% off, not many left. Everything else, including paddles and scuba gear is 50% off.

-I've rented from them, unfortunately, I got there too late and most of the stuff is gone.

I don't remember what I rented, but it was like the above, but with more storage space...

I thinkI'm gonna hold out for the space... Now I just gatta figure out which one it was!

The Backpacker in BR is a good place. Compass Rose might have something good left, go talk to Paul and see if he can hook you up.

Check out www.bckfc.org (bayou coast kayak fishing club) and browse the for sale adds there. Someone is usually selling a kayak pretty cheap every week or so around there. If you are looking for someplace to fish, shoot me a PM and we'll hit some good spots :D

Backpacker has some great stuff all around but they really seem to jack up their prices for the neighborhood they are in...Rich White Cracka Neighborhood.
