    Statement from DICK’S Sporting Goods
    We are extremely saddened by the unspeakable tragedy that occurred last week in Newtown, CT, and our hearts go out to the victims and their families, and to the entire community.

    Out of respect for the victims and their families, during this time of national mourning we have removed all guns from sale and from display in our store nearest to Newtown and suspended the sale of modern sporting rifles in all of our stores chainwide.

    We continue to extend our deepest sympathies to those affected by this terrible tragedy.

    Pot of ****! They're discriminating against certain styles of firearms because of one idiots choice to do dumb **** with that particular style. They're punishing the breed, not the deed. I never shopped there before and definitely will not now.

    Gutless, glad I've never sent them any money. Now CTD is about to escape my credit card as well.

    I called them and the gutless representative couldn't even comment on what a "modern sporting rifle" was!
    Gave me the "I am not at liberty to discuss that" crap.
    So I told him to tell your people, I am not at liberty to purchase anything from your company!

    It's amazing how ignorant people in this world are. I won't be going to "Insert male reproductive part synonym" anymore. I I only went there for gym gear, but still.

    Dick's was already a "watered down" gun dealer, only selling long gun (no pistols) at least t he Shreveport store anyway.

    I guess that hey agree with Wal-Mart that handguns are too violent to sell.

    I never shopped at dicks and never will, but i used to spend a lot of money at CTD. Never again.
