A good friend of mine has a flashtastic Colt HBAR AR15 that was gold plated - something about a Saddam Hussein Capture commemorative. It's absolutely gorgeous with the tan furniture and nice display box. Long story short, he wants to get rid of it.

I've tried finding it on the internet, but can't find a thing on pimped out AR's.

Has anyone ever run across one of these things?

The gold ones do not do it for me but that chrome underfolder is not too bad.

I've seen some pictures of a gold plated Mp5SD and a Gold plated Dragnov. When I was over there I saw a chrome AK and a chrome Tariq. Saddam loved the Bling!

I went back over there this afternoon to FF it, and there was a plaque in the case that said it was made by some historical society.

The serial # is 0008, so there obviously weren't many made.

Here's a pic of the magwell, say "Iraqi War Tribute". LOTS of engraving on the upper/lower receiver.

I've been needing a completely pointless rifle, so I may eventually buy it when I get around to making some money this summer.

Derp, I found out who it was made by.... the American Historical Foundation.

I'm not even going to post a link to their website, as I don't know anyone in their right mind who would spend $4K on an engraved/plated rifle... Google them if you want some real sticker shock :eek3:
