    I got a PM from Bryan at LA Gun in response to my question about a lower transfer fee on a group purchase.

    "If you can get 20+, we can do them for $10 each. You have to handle all the funds for the receivers. All we handle is the transfer fee."

    It may be tough to reach that number for buyers in the Baton Rouge area but there's the answer. Their normal price is $20 cash for a transfer.

    what about jason? he always has good prices

    are we going for 100% receivers or flats? flats would negate the transfer fee, correct? i like the idea of completely building one from scratch and not having anyone know it exists personally. either way im excited about building my own. getting a chub just thinkin about it!!

    I have no problem with Jason but I'm personally not driving to Ponchatoula for the one receiver that I would need.

    Try building a flat and then tell me about how exciting it is. I've been to two build parties. At the first one I brought four parts kits, two receivers and two flats. I came to the second party with two of the previous parts kits and two more receivers after seeing how much work actually has to go into a flat. The bending is easy but then you have to do the top rails, the receiver rails, the center rivet and the heat treating. If you were doing a bunch of kits back when they were $100 and included barrels it would be worth fooling with but I wouldn't recommend it now. Pay your money and get a nice receiver.

    I build with flats andI'm currently building on a 1.5mm flat. Anyway, I've been wanting an Egyptian for a long time. I'm kind of hung up on if I want a crutch stock, or should I wait and hope for kits with more arabic markings come to market.

    Get what is available now and hopefully some with Arabic marking will show up. I here rumors of Russian kits soon.

    * Barrel Update *

    The barrels have been ordered. I'm told they will ship monday around 2:00 pm mountain time. If you haven't spoken up yet and still want one, i may still be able to add to the order, but no promises.
