They are really serious about their no guns allowed rules over there. This guy spent 17 years of his life defending his country (11 in the special forces) and is sentenced to 18 months in military detention because of a Glock he didn't even know he had in his possession...

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/9669051/SAS-war-hero-betrayed-by-the-Army-says-wife.html

    Cliffnotes on the articles:
He was given a Glock 19 by the Iraqis he helped
He meant to have it decommissioned and displayed as a war trophy
Two of his friends were killed so he escorted their bodies home leaving his belongings
His belongings including the Glock were shipped to him
He partook in a race to raise money for widows and orphans of dead SAS soldiers
He collapses and is in a 3 day coma
He comes out of the coma with memory loss and forgot about the G19
He was sent on a 6 month tour to Afghanistan
His colleague's wife complained that she was a victim of domestic violence
Police search the house and search his colleague's stuff as well as his own stuff
Police find his G19 that he forgot about because of the coma
He gets sentenced to military detention for 18 months

So he was In a coma and suffered some type of permanent memory loss and afterwards was sent on a 6 month tour. Does that seem a little off to anyone else?

Screw them and half of America.

Yup. I agree. What's really depressing is looking at the election map by county...by land area/county number/area, the map is chock full of red, but thanks to the big urban areas packed with basement dwelling welfare scum, the rest of us have to suffer.

Don't forget the large pockets of overpaid government employees, especially around the DC suburbs.

It's interesting to observe a legal process in another country with different rights for citizens. It illustrates how important our constitutional rights are.

The comments are still pretty comical to read. Some brits are like "We can't have people bringing military weapons back here :run:"

I'm intentionally not growing my business. Gonna be taking more time off. Life is too short to bust my ass to support people who chose not to work. I feel sorry for my son's generation and beyond.

From some other articles I found on this subject it seems he hid his memory loss from everyone and volunteered to go back. And no I'm not defending anyone but with the number of undiagnosed cases of head trauma here in the states I can imagine the same thing happening there.

Very typical in the rest of the world. Take care of america even if your the last one trying to do so. As bad as things seem sometimes it's still the best place in the world.

Regardless of why it happened, it's despicable that England has its head so far up its ass to allow tragedies like this to happen. I fear the US is taking incremental steps in the same direction.

Well, this anti-gun thing isn't anything new for the Brits. They allowed their f'd up gun laws to get them in serious trouble the last time the Germans decided to get a little restless- and stooped to BEGGING American gun owners to send them firearms to defend themselves when the wolf was at the door.

Now ain't that something? Thanks for posting this. Next time I see one of those "you americans should have more strict gun laws, like us" types, I am going to through this into the mix.
