How is this possible from a member with one post?

"I have an extra complete New Frontier lower. This is an extra I purchased about three months ago. Looking to sell locally and not ship. I use these lowers on all my guns and even have a complete rifle for sale using it in another post. Looking to get 350 for it."

We have been talking with all of our Suppliers, RSR, Lipsey's, Sports south, Camfour, Ellet's, Davidson's as well as contacting direct Magpul, Spikes Tactical, Stag Arms, LWRC and many others. When we look at our online catalogs to place our restocking orders, the prices have indeed gone up.

And As I have said we see that the costs are increasing with the distributors. We know that both the manufacturers and distributors are working extra shifts to keep up with the demand. And we also know that many manufacturers are 6 mos to a year on new orders. My discussions with our reps is that things will not normal out for at least six months.

You may not agree with everything that I post here and that's quite alright. At the end of the day it is all opinion and nobody is anymore of an expert than anybody else.

I am simply speaking from being a retailer against the diatribe that people are price gouging when the reality is that there are business practices that need to be addressed when you have to restock inventory at increased costs.

RSR, Lipseys, etc. have not increased their ammo prices. Sorry it's just factually not true. I see what you did there by drawing manufacturers of firearms into a discussion about ammo but it doesn't fly either. Magpuls price on Pmags hasn't changed, if Spikes and LWRC have increased prices you should find better manufacturers because Colt, LMT, S&W, DD and many others have not increased prices.

Your logic on the extra shifts is also incredibly flawed. Extra shifts don't cost me the consumer anything. They also are hurting the makers bottom line and causing them to increase cost. They are paid for by the increased demand. None of the manufacturers you listed would add shifts to make less money.

You can ignore my question about your margin and giving back that's fine I get it, but, don't pull people's pants down, fuel the panic, and then act like your doing them
a favor. Keep in mind becoming a vendor with RSR, AccuSport etc isn't difficult. Several members here have log ins and can see the same prices you see.

I'm sure your making windfall profits. Your entitled to, that's capitalism. Do it without trying to hold yourself out as a standard bearer and a shooters champion it's transparent. Everyone in this industry selling a good or
Service controls their own pricing. Several providers have cut their prices. You don't see them pandering for attention and giving out idiotic advice. Hoarding ammo never made anyone a more competent shooter or more prepared if their time comes.

I have to agree with Nate. I can have 1500 rounds of ammo and not make it past my first 2 mags with no training or I can have 500 rounds and make it all count because I spent 1000 training what to do. So I think I will keep shooting my paper targets. Or maybe my nice steel ones I'm working on :D

I honestly don't know why we keep having this same revolving discussion. I think I'm just going to start copy pasting the same response, since we keep having the same thread.

So what are any of you suggesting to fix the problem? Banning people for gouging? If so, who gets to determine what is gouging? Simply put, you can't. The claims that the sellers are driving up prices is absurd. The buyers are driving up the prices. As a seller, if you're priced too high, your item won't get bought. That simple.

As it relates to gouging in general, this isn't a necessity. If you don't want to pay a higher price, don't. If you're want something you don't have, tough ****. Scares happen frequently, there was one after the last election, there is one now. It isn't unheard of and as such your lack of preparedness falls in your lap. Don't expect myself and others to sell things below their replacement value to help you out.

The hypocrisy of this thread is amazing. People who complain about welfare queens driving Cadillacs are now asking others to give them deeply discounted **** because they don't want to pay. People who call Obama a socialist complaining about capitalism.

I know you will try to come up with some kind of excuse for this, but those are the facts. You are complaining about a free market. You are hypocrites. You disgust me.

I have to agree with Nate.......

    Me, too.

Unit costs will be lower on a number of fixed cost items. Land and building amortization, property taxes and maintenance, for instance will show no marginal increase. R&D, GS&A, and marketing marginal costs will be insignificant. And economies of scale operate favorably for raw material and shipping. The only possible relevant increase would be labor, IF additional shifts were operated on overtime labor rates. And that's a management issue.
