I hope I'm still in town on the 8th, I'd love to see / hear a .338 Lapua in action. I've heard/read how great of a distance round it is, must be something to witness.

I'd like to attend just to watch and pick up information on the type of equipment (to see if anything I have is appropriate), but am about 3-4 hours away and that's a little far. Would it be possible to give a match report and list the equipment used by some of the competitors? Just want to see what is competitive. Would be interested in type/model rifle, caliber, scope type & power, and/or anything else that might be useful to a newcomer that wants to jump in. I've competed in high power and still have a match AR and M1A, but don't know if I need to change over to a bolt rifle. Thanks!

    6.5x47, 6x47, 6.5 creedmoor, .260 rem, and .260 AI place well.
308 and 223 can be competitive but ain't easy.
As for our matches at palo, it is common for bolt guns to come out on top over semi autos.
Scopes.... Nightforce is probably most common. Couple of Schmidt Benders. Vortex Razor and PST.
I'll post up the scores after the match, but don't plan on posting an equipment list of what was used.
3 hours is not far. Come visit.

If you plan on using the same rifle to shoot the F/TR class matches too then your limited to .308 or .223.
