Just wondering what's the best grill for under 2500 bucks. Can be propane or natural gas. Doesn't have to be over 2k, that's just the absolute highest I'm willing to go. I'd be content around 1000, but if 500-1000 dollars extra will ensure me it wouldn't have to be replaced anytime soon, that would be great.

I have a Weber spirit, it's 4 years old and is stored under my covered patio. I use it at least once a week since buying it, I wipe it down every so often to keep the dust from accumulating and looks like I bought it yesterday. I've replaced the flavor bars (burner covers). $40, that's all. I paid $500 and for it. It replaced a 2 year old char broil that I thought was a good grill until I used the Weber, which in my opinion is the best grill that can be had for the money.

I loved my charbroil, it had 4 burners and grilled steaks etc well, but every 2 years i have to replace it with the same model (they sell them at any store for 250 bucks). I figured I didn't want the hassle of buying a new one every so often and I'm ready to get a "good" one. I really want a wide one like the summit s670 but it's 2500 bucks and I'm wondering if they have anything else better for the money

I've had a Charbroil Commercial for around ten years now. I upgraded the grill panels to GrillGrates, which are amazing, nothing wrong with the factory stainless steel panels but once I used GrillGrates I knew there was no going back. I have replaced the burners after 6 or 7 years and it still cooks like a champ.
It was $600 at the time and I believe the GrillGrates were around $200. Also a couple of teflon grilling sheets are very nice to have as well.

Sent via telegraph with the same fingers I use to sip whiskey.

i know you're looking for a gas grill, but the green egg hands down puts gas to shame. the xl model with a cedar or cyprus cart will far exceed anything you could cook on gas. I gave my gas grill away immediately. I almost would have paid someone to take it from me.

Ruths Chris quality steaks, phenomenal brisket (not the ******** you find around here), smoked duck, game hens, back strap, smoked lemonfish, tuna, pork loin, etc ... you should really consider one if you're serious about cooking.

While maintenance is a slight pain in the ass - watching your neighbors and friends bite into the amazing creation you just made on the egg pays for itself.
