I wonder how this fits in being that it is an official flag currently in use. Being ex Navy I fly it on certain days..

Good reads! Thanks for sharing, I didn't know that it was used in the NAVY. It just goes to show "these people" don't care about history or national pride. Only their own personal agenda.

I see it flown under the USMC flag at several houses around mine.

Bingo. Never let something as trivial as the truth get in the way of some good old divisive politics.

So friends we know what wont work but what will?

My fear is we are already too few and too late to turn the tide, but I don't want to believe it.

I tend to agree, but as things progress we will see where peoples loyalties lie. The last thing we need though is to let more illegal aliens and refugees into this country to muddy the waters.

If the action taken means people wont be able to spend hours on FB, social media, and the interwebs... there will be no action taken.

I agree completely and made this comment before myself. As long as the masses are preoccupied with selfies and starbucks, then they don't give a **** to what's going on around them. Sucks, but a very true reality.

It'd be nice if that would work sli, but toes have to be stepped on to get to where "we" want to be. There's too much emphasis on the almighty dollar. The global economy is what's sucking the life out of this country. When company's large & small are more concerned with their bottom line than American workers & retaining money in our economy, then we'll never get anywhere. Career politicians need to go as well, all they are doing now is imposing stupid little laws on us telling us how we can live our lives just so they can have something to discuss.

I highly recommend reading this article, This guy has great ideals:

Keep in mind that I'm libertarian, so I'm not always on the right. I didn't say I agreed with all of it, but His first point is my favorite. Tariffs on imports. There needs to be a level playing field for people that want to manufacture products in America.

    Ignore the free college crap.

Quit letting giant corps off on taxes.

Another big thing of mine is welfare. You can't abolish it, but if you're able bodied, then go get a job. I don't care how many kids you got. If you want a handout then we should help with them with daycare costs while these leeches are instead paying back into the system. Decreasing the dependency on welfare would have a great impact on our national debt. If we manufactured things here, then the jobs would be there for these people.

Medical costs are so astronomical it's beyond ridiculous. I never go to the doctor even when I should because of this.

Congress should not be a lifelong career making 6 figure salaries. In my mind, it should be made up of successful (possibly retired) businessman. That doesn't convene daily to create stupid regulatory laws, but only every so often to tackle serious issues.

    Points 1, 3, 6, 7, & 8 I strongly agree with.

As a free-market Libertarian, the only position I could "go along" with, is maybe #1 and #8.

I don't know enough about #3 to comment

Trade/Economic issues are simple to fix. And we don't need tariffs.

As the largest consumer market in the world, we need to use our leverage.

Any product sold in the US needs to hit 100pts. You get 1pt for each % of US based material and US based manufacturing.
Example: Product X, 50% manufactured in the US, with 50% US material. Boom over with. And we don't need to give companies 6 years to hit that mark. ONE fiscal year to get to 50pts, and the second to hit 100pts. If Nabisco can relocate the Oreo plant to Mexico and arrange all the logistics, workforce, shipping, and cross border crap in 8 months, they can do it coming this way.

As for Congress, term limits is the fastest way to correct those issues

Very good ideals. I definitely like the points system. I was upset to hear about the Nabisco move myself. Sucks to keep watching jobs move out of this country.

Term limits would definitely be a good ideal, but I also think we need to regulate what they can/can't pass as law. I'm trying to quit smoking, it's a struggle everyday. I've never lit up with my children in the car though as a personal belief. But, how can a small collective group tell the rest of the state (in this example) that if they smoke in the car with THEIR OWN children they'll have to pay a fine. Just another freedom we're letting be stripped away. It's something that I agree with whole heartedly, but people shouldn't be able to determine how others live their lives.

Now they're getting way out of hand trying to tell us we can't have certain flags.

Please dont get me started on these stupid laws and signs and radio PSA's that aim at keeping the lowest common denominators in line. If someone is retarded you cant teach the stupid out of them buy them a helmet and move the F@wk on with your life. It doesn't matter what you do they will always be effin retarded. You can't make apple sauce from oranges no matter how hard you squeeze.

Once our society remembers that simple truth we can start focusing on the real problems at hand.

I blame 90% of what's wrong with this country on FREE $h!t. I'm sick and tired of paying for people to have kids, go to the doctor, have a phone, buy school clothes, free food and then we are told to help others!! I'm starting to hate people in general my wife and I want another child but are pretty sure we won't because we wanna make sure we are responsible. But a guy I know has 8 girls one year apart and rakes in the tax payers money like crazy then works for cash to buy pot and booze (he proudly clams to pull in over 5k a month in benefits)! And yes he votes!!!!

Now you've gone and done it... I know people that get divorced to put the wife and kids on Medicaid and stamps among other benefits. Me and my wife struggle our asses off to barely scrape by (she just started working for the state CHA-CHING), and we talked about doing it, but I could never actually do it even though it would have made life a hell of a lot easier, and I could have saved a ton of money. Having pride is a big kick in the ass, and I don't have much to show for it! But, at least we did it the hard way and I think we're the better for it. My wife got to stay home and raise my 3 year old. Now, hopefully we can start getting ahead.

I've hired and fired people for 15 years and I can tell you people either have pride or they don't. I truly feel this country will not improve until we start cutting people off the government cocaine (free stuff). People live on the system that should just be used as a helping hand.

With the amount of working age people on gov assistance why in the hell are we paying people to clean schools, cook in schools, cut grass at gov buildings, paint gov buildings, fixing street signs, on and on.

The amount of people living off the working folks make me SICK!!!!

I imagine that with the slightest bit of investigation A LOT of the abuse of this system would go away. Simply where the couple isn't married yet the man works but they don't "have the same address"... Decrease the taxes and maybe people wouldn't have to cheat the system like this...

I don't take handouts, and I don't ask for money. All of my stuff is mine! Technically most of it is the banks, but I don't have co-signers. I worked hard to get good credit. I'm tired of being punished for being a contributing citizen. I do everything by the book and they just keep taking more and more and more of my paycheck every year. Instead of paying the useless working age with our taxes, they should be doing more for the seniors who contributed. Social Security payouts are a joke. Also, our Vets should see a good chunk of that money, not lazy deadbeats.
