Your missing the obvious. The Saint is a pretty little Black & Gold pocket pistol with lots of Fleur de lis all over.

    SO. MUCH. FAIL.

Springfield: "Hey BCM, is it okay if we release a new rifle with your furniture?"
BCM: "LOL K, but you have to give it a silly name."
Springfield: "Let's call it the SAINT!"

For a few hundo more, you can just buy a BCM.

    Seriously? A 'new' AR?

I want to know what the marketing guy that sold them on this idea is investing in.

So much for the exclusive BCM handguard...

My only gripe about the SAINT? While not really a problem since 99.9% of shooters aren’t going to shoot like this, the handguards seem to have a bit of an issue with heat when throwing lead downrange at a high volume. After 8 magazines the handguard cap melted the plastic tabs that keep the front of the handguard in place. After several more magazines, I ran out of ammo and pulled the handguards the rest of the way off to inspect them. They were pretty well screwed and would need replacement.

Due to timing, this could either go really well or really bad for SA.

If Jim's said they will have some in stock, I bet they will sell. I watched bubba redneck and his buddy buy a S&W M&P15 for nearly $2k at the Slidell Gunshow, the guy walked up and said "I'll take it." He's not the only one. I've been selling off some AR stuff lately and have been met with folks who don't even haggle on price. They buy it for what I'm asking and don't have a second thought about it. The panic started months ago, it just isn't as bad as the last one... for now.

If you walk around the gun show with a sign saying that you have a brand new AR for X amount, you will have people bugging you. People were buying parts like you wouldn't believe. I watched another guy pay $60 for a used A2 receiver extension (no buffer or spring).

I've seen a few since they came out. Honestly, I would look elsewhere. It felt cheap to me. The hand guards were pretty wobbly, which you won't find with Magpul or even regular GI cheapo hand guards. The upper to lower fit was pretty loose, which I know is a big deal for some AR owners even though there is supposed to be some slight wiggle room. I would say its "wobblier" than average. The gas key was staked pretty lightly, which may or may no hold up to heavy use once things start to heat up and expand. The windage knob on the rear sight did not feel like the detent had enough tension to keep the knob from rotating if it were bumped or brushed up against something, throwing your sights off.
