I wouldn’t want to even guess at that. Most people know their home better than an invader though. Truthfully, leaving a safe place to go pie some corners in my home is not at the top of my game plan. Safe room, 911, and I don’t want to say ambush, but I’ll bet someone here can coin me a better term. I might come out if I hear unfamiliar screaming and dogs growling.

I'm with you. With just me and the wife at home, I'm not slicing the pie and walking into an unknown number of intruders. I'd probably take cover/concealment and wait for them to head my way. I can cover both doorways into my master bedroom from cover and have the upper hand and the element of surprise. If one of the kids happens to be in town, that would be a different story.
