Hello all, I recently got my hands on an Saiga rifle in 5.45x39, I’d like to convert the rifle to the military rifle it was meant to be, but don’t have the proper knowledge or tools. Does anyone know anyone who would do the conversion and does good work on these in the area? I’m currently in mandeville but am willing to drive to get this work done. I do not know a lot of what is required for the conversion. I understand it will need a conversion kit from Carolina shooters for the grip and bullet guide, as well as a gas block and traditional front sight, are there any other parts needed for the conversion? Thanks!

I’m in Mandeville and have been building Aks for a few years. I can help you out if you don’t make it out to Gonzales to see Vince.
