I read on another forum that one cannot bring a gun into the Post Office, no matter if CC or OC. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Yes my friend, its considered a Federal Building, unless its one of those small towns that actually has like a private person that owns the post office they usually do a private delivery as well in this type of offices so the mail doesnt come in the little jeeps.

But the regular post office is off limits.

There is a very detailed sign on one of the walls of the government street post office that basically says you will spend the rest of your life in prison if you dare bring a gun inside.

My problem, the open top jeep is no place to leave a gun for someone to walk by and get it.

If I have it with me, I make sure its tucked away ON MY PERSON..

I have to disarm before I leave the house every time I go to the doctor as my doctor is the V.A. and you can't even have it in your car! Major PITA.

PS: The same goes for a knife at the V.A.!!!! I don't think they really care about that one though...
