      Is Hodgdon BL-C2 a good .308 powder?

      If that's all you have, or you're getting it dirt cheap, I'd shoot it. I have shot it in my M14's, actually have shot a lot of it. I've shot a lot of different powders out of Service Rifles because I shoot that discipline. I NEVER liked Var-gay (Varget) or RL15 which many other Service Rifle...

      The M14/M1A, a grooved gas piston helps but not necessarily needed. There are numerous adapters for the muzzle end. I would not use any of the adapters that are held on with the castle nut. Even with a Titanium silencer that's a lot of hanging weight on the end.
