      Akai 1911

      Person I know bought new DVC in Dec and it cracked the comp in 1500 rounds. Sti replaced it no questions, but the replacement also cracked the comp in around 1500. Sti replaced it with another New gun. I would call Sti to see if they redesigned the comp cuts before purchase.

      1911 front sight milling-Anyone have this done before?

      Any machinists that has a mill should be able to do it. It will require the correct dovetail cutter for the sight which they may not have. You can search gunsmith dovetail cutters and find where to purchase one. They are around 30.00 if you know someone will a mill might be a cheaper way...

      From Michigan

      I shoot IDPA , uspsa, and three gun. Open and limited class for uspsa, esp for IDPA and iron sights for three gun. Would give IDPA as my least favorite. Love my 9mm sti open gun. Always looking for information to shoot better and see what others are talking about
