      Walking around my property, lots of moccasins, I normaly carry my PMR30 22mag it does the job just fine if needed. I useually dont shoot the snakes though

      Nice story and write up!! I used to go there in my youth a LOT, 17 years in a row at one point, and a couple times a year a couple times. Only used an outfitter once and after that we outfitted ourselves, had better lighter equipment that way. Back then we always had to get permits, not needed...

      Good snake gun?

      I have 100 acres with lots of water, and hence lots of water moccasins. I always carry my PMR 30 with me, normal 22 mag 40 gr rounds works great.. snake shot not so much. It would also work for pigs, yotes or trespassers. I also do not kill non venomous (technically they are not poisonous)...
