      The advocate has been giving away free papers all week so people can check them out. I cancelled my TP subscription when they did their massive layoff. I won't support them. Seems like the advocate has a much better sports section anyway!

      There is also a Waste Management Transfer Station on Hwy 59 about 2 miles past there on the right side. I think its about $35 per ton with a 1 ton minimum.

      Shooting on Canal street last night

      I was working on Canal street last night. About 9pm we heard 2 gunshots from 1 block away. Crowd running down the street looked like a bunch of gazelles running from lions. NOPD told us 1 person shot in the leg and 1 person shot in the back. Mardi Gras night on Canal street with police everywhere!
