      Less Casing length means less powder, which equals less recoil.

      .308 for me, it’s a short action .30-06 with much less recoil, yet larger than a .270. There’s a reason LE & Military have used it for years for sniping; Special Forces as well.

      I like and use .308 (7.62x51mm). It is a .30 Caliber, but shorter casing than the .30-.06 and less recoil. It’s flat shooting and commonly used by the Military & Police for sniping.
