.308 Semi-auto rifle
In full-size "battle rifle" configuration, all those listed will be heavy. I vote for the AR, although you seem to not like that platform. They are usually accurate right out of the box with the right ammo, lower recoil due to the straight-line mechanism, parts are readily available, easily... -

DSA AR parts--anybody use any??
I used a DSA stripped upper to replace a VERY out -of-spec upper from a Blackthorne kit. Very good quality on the DSA--can't say the same for the Blackthorne. But in defense of Blackthorne, I've built 6 or 7 of their kits and that's the only real problem I had, and they all run great now. -

looking for reloading material
It's all relative, it depends, etc...... If you are working on accuracy---by all means sort your brass, weigh it and seperate it into lots, etc etc. Every variable must be controlled if you want to shoot bugholes at long range etc. If you are pushing the pressure envelope with max loads...- mtrmn

class 3 dealer near Jena?
checking into getting my first can-hopefully one of the new titanium 7.62's from YHM if they're even available yet. Need a dealer near Jena (Alexandria?) so I won't have to go so far to deal with them.
