      I just Form 4'ed a suppressor yesterday. I'll be interested to see if wait times are positively affected. If not, I'm no better off than without the barcode. No big deal to me either way. Just submit it and forget it.

      I agree that two caliber specific suppressors will always be better than any do-it-all suppressor, and I'm glad that the OP went that route. I still contend that the Optimus is a good choice given his initial requirements.

      LA Lifetime Permit - Expiration date listed?

      A little late to the party here, but that doesn't seem right. My lifetime permit issued 1 Oct 2013 gives me a 2099 expiration date. Like Specularius, it came with a note saying that they'll issue me a new permit once their system is updated to specify that it's a lifetime permit.

      Many times the questionnaires are standardized, oftentimes the only changes being the letterhead. I tend to align myself with the idea that it's more to educate the patient or the patient's parents. I don't think it's a big conspiracy to identify and register gunowners for the government...
