seems like you're on the right track. my first holster was junk, but practice and planning ahead has helped me progress. I learned a lot from watching videos from the phillyedc chanel on youtube.

I still have to trim the holster and then retention will be adjusted once the halves are attached. It is pretty snug but the kydex flexes enough at the opening to draw and holster properly. I'm going to order some more kydex to practice with other thicknesses.
