You guys ever get together

For a shoot and BS session? I think it would be a fun essential get together. If this is a thing you guys already do can someone share details?

Back in the early days of BayouShooter (circa 2008), we would meet at Sherborne WMA for some shooting & camaraderie. Some of the Baton Rouge crowd would also meetup for lunch but I've lost touch with everyone. There was also a riff between the original owner of BS and some members. All I remember is something about a Bugout Whale. After that, it was never the same.

I remember much of that. Wouldn’t be against meeting folks and connecting faces with names.

There was also a group of us that would meet for build parties. We called ourselves the SLAKERs (South Louisiana AK ERectors). Once again, I've lost touch with all those members.

The guys in the New Orleans area used to meet at the Buffer Zone on the edge of MS occasionally (just a really nice pit for shooting that MS shut down unfortunately). We did have a BS dinner or two... That was pretty cool.

There are shooting events nearly every weekend. USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, GSSF, national level training classes, etc… Usually, folks will go eat after.

When I was a moderator on KTOG.ORG we had regional "Shoots". The first was at Sherbourne, but we had them all over the country. Heck of a good time, we even had T-shirts made. Good times. I would enjoy something like this.

SlAKers was a great group! We did that for a year or two. We'd go test and play at the Buffer Zone in MS before the Navy took it over.

For years the BR area people would get together for lunch. It was pretty cool because we are all who we are, and beef here never manifested in person, it was always good times and good food.

It was a different political climate back then than it is now, and people were much more chill in general, and there was WAY less communicable disease back then lol. We are + something like 20-30 new different-but-similar respiratory diseases since then.

Nothing about this modern day makes me want to get together with groups of people to celebrate...sadly, and that makes the government/commies win.

Yeah I met Bam Bam at Sherburne years ago.

Really..... I haven't been to Sherburne in close to 10 years nor do I look like Santa Claus. Maybe you're referring to #1bambam?? See my last line in my signature. lol
