I'm going to go ahead and close this thread. I've been in touch with the buyer/seller and it sounds like that this is just the case of a compounded shitty situation.
Without airing anyone's laundry, the seller (who this thread was about) had some medical problems and thought that someone else...
That's it!
I never got to meet him in person, unfortunately. That's a cool story about the picture, though! Photography is something I wish I was good at, that I suck at.
Situations like these are the anomaly and the abundance of bodycams nowadays is further making these encounters go away. Most cops don't want anyone unnecessarily handling a gun and my understanding is that most departments don't want their officers disarming folks with CHPs, LTCs, or the...
My view is that at this point it's a used trigger in a used rifle and it needs to be priced at a discount. I'd say that a $200 trigger, in my opinion, adds $50ish in value to the rifle. Some may value it more highly and others may not care about the trigger.
Awesome!
I keep toying with getting a GMRS Pro since it can Bluetooth to a phone and what not, but for the same price I can also buy a badass antenna setup....sooo....yeah LOL
I did buy a folding antenna that extends 3ft and have been able to hit repeaters (finally!) - it's just kinda floppy...
There are plenty of options in the air rifle world...but have you considered a suppressed 10/22 lr? Or even a 10/22 with subsonic ammo? I've got a Ruger 10/22 Takedown that is sooooo much fun to shoot with a suppressor.
As for air rifles, the age-old Benjamin Pump is a classic. If you're...
Oh, in that case, the world is your oyster.
Steaks
Sausage
Cast iron pan pizza
Hot dogs
Potatos wrapped in foil cooked in coals (add bacon grease around the potato for more yum yum)
I have the exact same pack as you and love it. I absolutely wouldn't give up the comfort of it just to save a few pounds...especially when I can just shave a few pounds off of me the weeks before the hike!
Dude you should check out the quilts made by Enlightened Equipment. I've yet to find...
Foam pads are decent for car camping and short hikes, but they don't excel very well in cold. The best Thermarest foam pad has an r-value of 2, which is great for summer camping, but very poor for cold weather camping. Most people don't know it, but sleeping pads are as important as, if not more...
Yeah, I think I'm in the same boat. Most of my hikes are in northern Arkansas...or we travel to different parts of the US. I much prefer to hike in mountains than the South.
