I highly recommend 7mm-08 as well. I started 2 kids on this with a Savage Axis. It is a tack driver. Most of the deer shot with it dropped and did not run. I also recommend the low recoil rounds. Recoil is significantly less than a .243.
Good luck

I haven't used the but Ameriglo sells suppressor sights that are supposedly good for use with red dots. I have Ameriglos on all of my Glocks and love them.
Great feedback . Thanks everyone . Also , I looked at some in Jims the other day. Staff was extremely nice and helpful .

With the new Glock MOS and new Optics division within USPSA, I am ready to try out a red dot on a Glock 34. I like the visual on my Eotech but have only seen one similar (circle with dot) on a JP Enterprises model. Anyone have a preferred model or a model to avoid?
Do you have a recommendation or preferred reflex sight for pistols? I am researching options and hope to start using one for USPSA. I like the JP Enterprises model because it has a circle and dot like the Eotech. I find this makes in much easier to get on target faster. I am having trouble...
Just curious if anyone knows (and it is appropriate to share) why the Gator moved to Princeton?
Are they still conducting monthly USPSA matches in Thibodaux?
Thanks.
Lifetime licenses are a great deal. They are only $200 for both hunting and fishing if you get them before your kids turn 5. My kids don't appreciate them yet, but they each have one.
