      S&W 586

Thanks all for the input. My inhibitions got the better of me and just came home from Jim's with a used 686 SSR in really nice condition. Looks to have been fired very little.

      S&W 586

Decided that I need to get myself a new wheel gun. I am still kicking myself for selling a stainless Anaconda back in the early 90’s. I’ve been looking at SW 686 and Ruger GP100, but I ran across a new 586 today, and I really like the blued finish with wood grips. I know there are a...

      Cabelas

It is gone. I’m guessing that was a change that Bass Pro made. It’s too bad, as I really enjoyed rummaging through there on occasion.

      Sig P226 MK25

I was tempted on the legion, but decided on the MK25. The legion is awesome looking though.

      Got my VP9

VP9 is one of the guns that I am considering picking up this spring. I also really like the P30. Does anyone have experience in both? Which do you prefer, and why?

      Axe sharpening

If the edge is a little nicked up, the file will take care of it. There are some pretty good YouTube videos out there showing how to sharpen. Just search on how to sharpen an axe...

      Axe sharpening

I highly recommend picking up a Lansky puck sharpener and doing it yourself. The puck is inexpensive and puts a pretty decent edge on with a little work. I picked up a vintage Plumb axe recently, and it shipped with a dull edge. Several minutes with the puck, and it's good to go. Bought mine...

      s&w model 642 recoil issue & wife

I had a 642 for carry purposes, and I just didn't enjoy shooting it. It is difficult to become proficient with a firearm if you don't practice with it regularly. I recently sold it, and purchased a Sig P238. I absolutely love shooting this gun. Of course, you need to be ok with .380 vs .38...

      Ruger MkIII Assembly

THanks for all the replies. The trigger is not stuck but is not resetting. Now the mainspring assembly will not fully come out. I believe the hammer is in the incorrect position but I am unable to free it.

      Ruger MkIII Assembly

Both. Tried to follow the guidance, and not sure where I went wrong.

      Ruger MkIII Assembly

Anyone especially proficient in putting these back together? After breaking down for the first time, I have spent the better part of the morning trying to correctly re-assemble. I thought I had it this last time, however the trigger is not responding. Now when I try to remove the mainspring...

      Safariland ALS 6378 Holster Inquiry

Inquiring as whether any of the forum sponsors stock this holster for the Glock 19. Please let me know. Thanks.

      Safariland ALS

Thanks for all the replies. Defiantly seems that I am considering the right holster. Will go check out BRPS this weekend.

      Safariland ALS

Recently purchased a Glock 19, and looking for a decent OWB. Anyone use an ALS for their Glock? If so, would you recommend it? Lastly, any BR area dealers that carry these for a decent price? Thanks.

      Back up sight problems

I had the same problem on mine initially. I bought the Magpul MBUS sights only to find that the front is not made to site on the gas block due to both the heat and the height difference. I have since bought a Midwest Industries front sight specifically for gas block mounting, and have kept the...
