      I keep a cheap LE trade-in G22 around for the sole purpose of being able to switch between 40/9/357 as needed. It's a beater, throw it in the go-bag, toss it in the tackle-box, bury it somewhere, etc.

      I generally check the marketplace and other local forums, the ar15.com exchange or Tacswap to see what the market looks like and price match those. For things I absolutely can't figure out, 75-80% of new pricing has been a good starting place for me, depending on condition of item.

      AR-10 question

      Closest you're going to get to a single set-up is a Colt LE901. You can swap the 7.62/.308 upper for a standard 5.56/.223 upper and use their magwell block to shoot the smaller round. But yes, you're better served just get two platforms (moar guns is mo bettah anyway :D)
