Well if this doesn't give you the reddazz

When I first applied online, I went to local Sheriff's office to get fingerprinted, and mailed them in manually. Waited a couple of months, got the acceptance link, paid the fee for a background check, and waited. And waited. And waited. When my wife insisted I call to check, I realized it...

      Light Kicking .410 Shell Question

It will. I have a 12 gauge Remington Model 31 (1947) that kicks like a mule. It'll leave a serious bruise. I put a recoil pad on it, and it makes all the difference - still kicks hard, but doesn't leave a mark, and I'm happy to hunt with it now.

      Remington Model 31 - late 1940s?

DOH!! Nevermind. I just found a link that cleared it up. X=December, SS=1947. https://www.shootersforum.com/rifles-rifle-cartridges/40562-remington-serial-numbers.html

      Remington Model 31 - late 1940s?

I inherited this shotgun from my dad, and I've looked at various Remington serial number lists trying to find the actual manufacturing date, but the serial number on this gun does not follow the pattern in their lists. The serial number (99155) seems to be high (towards the end of the...

      Instapot

Here is my squirrel sauce piquant I tried out today: Squirrel Sauce Piquante (Instant Pot) (adapted from http://emerils.com/127828/chicken-sauce-piquante) 1 pound cooked, de-boned squirrel (6-8 whole squirrels) 1 tbsp Cajun/creole seasoning (Tony Chachere’s, Zatarain’s, etc.) 1/2 cup...

      Instapot

There is a Facebook group - *Wild Game in the Instant Pot.* Lots of good stuff there. I am working on a squirrel sauce piquant this weekend. Season squirrels, put in the Instant Pot for 30 minutes, then debone and finish the recipe in the pot. I’ll come back with details if it works.

      Urban Carry holsters?

I have a similar holster, but it has a phone case on the outside part, and doesn't flap over the top of the gun (bought it at a gun show, http://www.concealedcomfort.com/video.shtml). So instead of having a weird, useless flap over your belt, you just look like an old-timer with a crappy...

Closest skeet and or trap range to NOLA?

Sherburne WMA at Krotz Springs has a range you can use for free (your tax dollars already paid). I’ve never used the skeet range yet, but the rifle and pistol ranges are decent. Maybe not the best, but it is public land, so...
