Long before this story aired, I knew of the problem, the stories and the corporate denial and coverup. The video is about the infamous Remington 700 safety issue. People died. What scorched the earth with me was the fact that the problem was pointed out years before. What’s more is one of the engineers found a fix that would cost Remington all of a few cents per rifle to fix. I don’t remember the story in great detail, but I know that all this took place a few million rifles before people died and the lawsuits began. I don’t know if the Sig situation is anywhere near the same, but I’m aware that things like this can happen.
